SPOON achieved high motor performance by developing and installing STIFF PLATE FRONT to improve the ground feeling and handling stability of S660 front section. However, while pursuing the development of the car body, we are pursuing a higher level of steering stability in order to improve situations where we are constantly forced to correct from the ""lack of rigidity"" and ""unreliability"" transmitted from the steering, investigating cause and development test I piled up. The part that was causing this was the fastening part of the steering gear box. Normally, the steering gearbox is tightened firmly with four or more bolts in the subframe. However, S660 was fastened with only two bolts, and there was play in the bolt hole of the fastening part, so twisting always occurred, and slight modification was necessary. We increased the part to which the body and the steering gearbox are fastened and aimed at a structure with high rigidity that the body and the gearbox can receive even for large inputs. Like the STIFF PLATE FRONT, the plate was designed exclusively by 3D CAD, and the 1.6 mm thick JSC 780 super high tension material was molded with the 800 t hydraulic press. In addition, we made exclusive color with the same principle as the rigid color in the gap of fastening bolt part. By raising the fastening strength of the steering gear box itself, it was possible to realize a direct, moist and superior steering feel. Installation can be installed without any processing.
