Cornering performance improvement is crucial for driving mini circuits and winding roads. Increasing spring rate is the most obvious way to improve the cornering performance, however this may cost you some comfort.
So, to keep the driving comfortable and still increase the spring rate, we chose the barrel spring. Unlike straight springs, these have multiple spring rates through them based on the difference in diameter.
Having used the advantage of this shape, we came up with the suspension with the rate as low as 1G for your driving comfort, and higher rates for high-speed cornering and driving.
Carefully tested in various conditions, such as mini circuit and winding roads, the rate was set to 3.4kgf/mm for the front and 3.4kgf/mm for the rear springs (with normal rate of F/2.7 and R/2.8)
